Standard and custom coil dimensions
Surface and edge requirements reviewed for your process
Documents and packing confirmed for each order
430 STAINLESS STEEL COIL
Source 430 stainless steel coil with the thickness, width, finish and handling requirements defined for your order. Start with reference thicknesses of 0.40–6.0 mm and widths up to 1,500 mm, or discuss customized dimensions. The rolling condition, finish and size combination are reviewed together before supply is confirmed.
A coil that meets the nominal thickness can still be unsuitable for your equipment. Include coil inside diameter, maximum outside diameter, coil weight and edge requirements with your inquiry.
| Grade and form | Type 430 stainless steel, supplied in coil form |
|---|---|
| Thickness | 0.40–6.0 mm, or customized |
| Width | Up to 1,500 mm, or customized |
| Rolling condition | Hot-rolled or cold-rolled requirements reviewed with the selected thickness and finish |
| Surface finish | 2B, BA/2R, 2D or No.1/1D as applicable; polished or brushed requirements subject to review |
| Coil inside diameter | 508 or 610 mm as inquiry reference options; confirm compatibility with your equipment |
| Coil weight and outside diameter | Specify your handling and decoiler limits for order confirmation |
| Width and edge condition | Full-width or slit-width requirement, mill or cut edge, and any burr limits to be agreed |
| Specification and tolerances | Applicable product specification, revision and dimensional tolerances agreed before ordering |
| Documents and packing | Material certificate, inspection scope and export or custom packing confirmed per order |
These are inquiry reference dimensions, not a stock list. Not every thickness, width and finish combination is available. Customized dimensions and slit-width requirements are subject to technical review and order confirmation.
Appearance, forming and surface protection should be considered together. Where appearance is critical, identify the visible face and agree on a sample or an acceptance description.
| Finish | Process and appearance | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| 2B | Cold-rolled, heat-treated, pickled and skin-passed surface | Appearance requirements after forming and whether surface protection is needed |
| BA / 2R | Bright-annealed cold-rolled surface | Brightness, handling marks and protection; BA is not an automatic mirror-finish specification |
| 2D | Cold-rolled, heat-treated and pickled surface | Surface condition required for subsequent fabrication or finishing |
| No.1 / 1D | Hot-rolled, heat-treated and pickled surface | Thickness, surface condition and any later finishing operation |
| Polished or brushed | Additional finishing, such as No.4 or a specified directional texture | Sample, texture direction, roughness if specified, and coil-processing feasibility |
Use the finish designation required by the purchase specification. Similar commercial names do not replace the agreed surface acceptance criteria.
For full-width coil, provide the width and edge condition your line accepts. For a slit-width requirement, add the strip width, width tolerance, burr limit and maximum coil weight or outside diameter.
A narrow width alone does not define precision strip. Specialized thickness control, mechanical condition, edge treatment or winding requirements need a separate review; they are not implied by this general coil offering.
State the product standard and revision on the inquiry. ASTM A240/A240M, EN 10088-2 or an applicable JIS product specification may be relevant, depending on the order.
Grade names and standard designations do not establish identical acceptance requirements. Confirm thickness and width tolerances, test requirements and the material certificate against the selected specification.
430 is used in appliance, decorative and catering-equipment applications. The finished component, service environment and fabrication route still determine whether it fits your project.

Confirm the exposed-face finish, texture direction, forming details and handling protection. Provide a surface sample when appearance must match adjoining parts.
Define visible-surface acceptance, fastening details, cleaning exposure and the required appearance after fabrication.
Specify the component, cleaning agents, operating conditions and any food-contact requirements. The grade designation alone does not establish regulatory compliance.
Send the drawing, forming sequence and required material condition. Identify welds or other demanding fabrication steps before material selection is finalized.
Do not select 430 solely from an application label. Chloride exposure, outdoor conditions, welding and demanding forming operations require project-specific material review.
Tell us whether the order requires a mill test certificate, traceability information, third-party inspection or additional documents. Requirements and the inspection scope are confirmed before the order is agreed.
For packing, specify the destination, unloading method, coil orientation and any moisture, edge or surface-protection requirements. Protective film or interleaving must be agreed with the finish and intended processing route. Coil handling limits belong in the inquiry, not only in the shipping instructions.

Review the broader coil category when your grade is still being specified.
430 stainless steel sheet and plateUse the flat-product page when you need individual sheets or plates instead of coils.
Send the thickness, width, finish and quantity, together with your equipment limits. Customized requirements are reviewed before a supply scope is confirmed; the reference range does not guarantee every combination.
No. BA identifies a bright-annealed surface. If a specific reflective appearance is required, provide a finish designation, sample and acceptance criteria for review.
No. Confirm the applicable specification and the tolerance for your thickness, width and edge condition. Tighter tolerances or precision-strip requirements need a separate review.
Provide grade, rolling condition, thickness, width, finish, edge, quantity, coil ID, maximum weight and outside diameter, tolerances, standard, documents, packing, application and destination.
Send your material specification and production-line limits. Our team will review the dimensions, finish, documentation and packing requirements before replying.
